Operating and Connect:

1: Connect the HDMI source device and HDMI switch input ports with four HDMI cables, HDMI cables from HDMI source device into HDMI switch input ports

2: Connect HD displayer device (monitor or projector) with HDMI switch output ports with one HDMI cable.

3: Connect 5V/1A power adapter with the HDMI switch .

Channel switching operations:

Press the “Select” button of the switcher around 8 seconds, which can switch between 5.1 and 2.1 audio channel.

We hooked up three HDMI devices to the FosPower unit, DVR, DVD and a laptop, and then plugged the output into one of the HDMI inputs on our television. The beauty of this switch is that it switches automatically from the current input (for example, the DVR) to whatever input you start up (like a DVD), and then switches back automatically to the original input when you shut off the second device. This eliminates the need for changing the television's "Source" setting each time we watch a DVD or when hooking up our laptop to the television. Great product. And 4 ports switch is just right for me.
