I strongly recommend this item for anyone that is splitting their HDMI signal to different resolutions/monitors/TVs. I learned the hard way that it take a special splitter like this one to send the HDMI signal to different types of monitors. Long story short, I have this hooked up to my head unit in my car (different screen resolution) and also hooked up to two head rest monitors (different screen resolution). Because of this device, I can now split the signal to all six screens!!!
