I broadcast video games on Twitch and as some of you are aware, Sony has enforced HDCP on the HDMI port of the PS3 (and most likely PS4). Because of this, you have to use Sony's component cables to
capture video. The growing issue here is that the PS4 only has HDMI out and most likely will also enforce HDCP which means it would be impossible to capture and stream the PS4 through the HDMI port. I bought this splitter in hopes that it would allow non HDCP devices to receive HDCP signals and it worked! I tested this splitter with a PS3 as well as a DirecTV DVR using HDMI outputs on both devices. To make sure this splitter actually was working, I hooked the PS3/DVR directly to my capture device using HDMI and received black screens, signaling that HDCP was being enforced and no signal was being transmitted to the capture device. I then plugged the PS3/DVR into the ViewHD splitter, and then into my capture device and like magic I had a signal! Woo! There is no loss in quality with this splitter, it looks fantastic, is easy to use and the box is small! Easy to hide away behind things and you'd never know it was there. This thing is awesome and works like a charm, perfect signal quality and it bypasses the HDCP! BUY BUY BUY!
